WHEN WILL THE SELLERS LEARN??Just another glorious branch of the disgusting purple bricks franchise.Purple bricks and its associated legal firms (Premier property lawyers) continue to ruin the lives of hard working families and ruin the expectations of buyers and sellers alike. This is another attempt at ditching the disturbing reviews associated to this shower of a franchise. I will never sell a house through purple bricks and i will never purchase a house marketed by them.My home move are useless just like every other law firm/boiler room that Purple bricks refer to. They pay Purple bricks a giant commission and thats the only reason this company exists.
- When I asked to cancel my instruction, as I wasn't able to get an initial appointment for at least 6 weeks, my conveyancer hung up on me! I rang back and their colleague said 'Oh let me see if shes free, oh yeah she's cancelled it' instead of putting me on to speak to her. Ridiculously unprofessional, was hounded to complete all my paperwork, then told that my solicitor was away on holiday so wouldn't be able to work on it anyway.Just go local, avoid please.+ some friendly customer service advisors but they all seemed to be in the sales department. + nice online portal
PLEASE AVOID AT ALL COSTS! My House Move (also known as premier property lawyers) are the worst conveyancing company I have ever dealt with with ongoing nightmare lasting over 18 months and counting. I have conducted two transactions with them buying and selling properties. Here's the short version of my experiences so far:- Although they have extended hours on the telephones, you cannot get hold of an actual conveyancer who can deal with your case. I've been told on every call in the past 6 months that no one is available and they are submitting an urgent callback request for me for someone who can deal with my enquiry. - My property sold in April 2017 and I am still waiting for PPL to release the proceeds of sale back to us. They are holding our money without justification or cause, and they do not comply with the solicitor regulatory authority guidelines.- In the run up to getting Authority to Exchange with the Help to buy scheme, it was originally submitted on the 19th April, but didnt come back approved until end of the 27th April (day before completion). This was due to several rounds of corrections being required due to incorrect forms being sent over to the Help to Buy team. They have informed me should the forms have been sent over correctly, authority to exchange would have been granted much faster. Having had to do over 20 phone calls combined between yourselves and help to buy team to get this done and resolved, it consumed a huge amount of my time and was very stressful in order to meet our completion date (Friday 28th April). At the end of this day, I received notice that my solicitor was on annual leave tomorrow, the day of completion for both my old and new house and that I would be left in the hands of a colleague, this gave me no confidence or reassurance and as expected things went wrong.- As mentioned in the last point the conveyancer went on holiday on my completion date, and it all went wrong, after over another 10 phone calls and not to mention unnecessary stress due to the unprofessional, uncontactable and last minute nature of PPL. Our situation was very vulnerable with the tenancy ending on our existing residence and our 4 children expecting a home to sleep in on the day of completion, and not knowing where we would go that night until 4pm was simply not acceptable, and could of therefore been avoided should PPL have prepared the financial paperwork correctly for us.To this day, I am still waiting for my "urgent callback" from PPL, looks like they'll be keeping tens of thousands of our money for a few more months without paying interest or warranted justification.
1* They really have lost their way. They used to be really good, I dont know whats going on with them. Didnt inform us about the EPC being a grade F until after we exchanged.
Really positive experience. Danielle and the team around her were fantastic, providing a prompt and professional service. My girlfriend and I are first time buyers, and after a negative initial experience involving another solicitors firm who ultimately couldn't work with us my expectations going into this process were very low. Gladly, dealing with my home move (via Legal & General) my expectations were greatly exceeded.
